Friday Favorites: The Sunday Edition

Happy Sunday! Last week ended up being as busy as I predicted so here I am on Sunday with my Friday Favorites. Ugh, but better late than never, right? So, here are some of my favorite things from last week.

This coat: It’s been a couple of years since I bought a pretty top coat and this navy one I’m wearing above is about as pretty and warm as they get. This coat comes in a number of colors, but this navy one is great over jeans or something nicer if you have dressier plans for the holidays. It runs big so I would size down if you decide to order one.

Cute boots: I found myself reaching for my boots this week and I am so happy that I was able to grab these. This pair from Dolce Vita are cute, warm, and super well priced!

The Crown: The Official Podcast: If you love The Crown, I think you will love its official podcast even more. I was so taken by the storytelling in Season 5, that to hear from the series’ actors, writers, and directors just deepened my love for this season and series even more. The podcast for the entire Season 5 has been released so it makes for great binge-listening if you’re looking for something new.

Holiday red: My love for red lipstick runs deep and I always seem to be on the hunt for the perfect shade. This year, I’ve returned to my roots and my love for Mac lipsticks. Lady Danger (I’m wearing it above) is the creamiest coral red with all day staying power. Love it!

Gift-wrapping Outfit: You know what I’m talking about, right? Like your jeans are too uncomfortable to sit on the floor wrapping presents but you want something a little better than your workout leggings? Target has the dreamiest sweater knit pants and top set—it feels like you’re wearing a blanket. The pants are high-waisted and that makes up for the top being a little shorter. You can easily throw a coat over the this and feel pulled together if you need to run out and do some errands. My local Target had this outfit in gray, navy, and a wine color. They do run big, so size down for sure. I bought a small in both. Very, very cute and I think under $60 for the whole look.

Netflix’s Harry & Meghan: I’ve had the chance to watch the first three episodes since they dropped on Thursday. As I said earlier this week, I was Team Meghan when Prince Harry first introduced her to us. I was thrilled to see that the Royal Family had evolved in allowing Harry to marry the very real Meghan. I can’t imagine how hard it must have been for her to adjust to being a part of this family and having to do so very publicly, but her reactions all seem so over the top. That said, I feel like her storytelling in this new Netflix special is more of this and I have a very hard time feeling much empathy for her. But I know I’m only three episodes in and I plan to watch until the bitter end. I’m not sure if you’re on the fence about watching this that it’s worth your time. I’d steer you towards The Crown instead.

Poppy Gifting: Last week, I was lucky enough to catch up with Peggy McNulty O’Brien, a darling young woman whose family I grew up with. Peggy and her friend Willa, both with luxury brand experience in their backgrounds, have founded Poppy Gifting—an online gifting services company that is available to help you with everything from shopping for the perfect gift to wrapping ones you’ve already purchased (and many, many other amazing things in between). While Poppy Gifting is bumping up against some shipping deadlines for the coming holidays, they would love to help you in they can. They gave me the code ANNMARIE20 that you can apply to any of their gifting services or on purchases from their online Gift Shop. I will be talking about Poppy Gifting a lot more in the new year, but this seemed like a good time to let you know that if you’re running into trouble with your shopping—Poppy Gifting may be able to help.

Happy happy Sunday! Make it a good one.
