A Few Friday Faves, One Day Late

Hello sunshine and second day of May! I was all ready to go with a post yesterday only to get distracted by how pretty it was outside and a pesky deadline for the magazine. So, here we go today with a few of my favorites from this week.

Kiddles Townie Bike: With Mother’s Day next Sunday, I’ve been sharing some gift ideas from local North Shore shops all week. One of my most favorite Mother’s Day gifts was a lime green Townie bicycle from Kiddles Sports (shown above). My daughters and I have put a lot of miles on it, but Kiddles brings it back to life every spring. Love it!

Make Flower Arrangements Virtually with Katie Ford May 4: Flowers by Katie Ford is ready to bring a little sunshine right into your home with lululemon. Join Katie on her Instagram live for a virtual workshop this Monday at 11 a.m. with a water-filled vase, scissors, blooms from your local grocer (four different colors), and greenery from your own backyard. Have mom join you virtually, send her photos of your creation or safely drop it by her front door if distance allows. What a great way to celebrate moms and spring!

Safe + Fair Drizzled Popcorn: One of my daughter’s sweet friends sent her a care package this week of Safe + Fair goodies. I’ve been a huge fan of these allergen-free products since I first learned of them, but hadn’t yet tried the popcorn. It’s AMAZING! You can’t stop eating it! Chocolate was a hands-down favorite, but blueberry gave it a run for it’s money (reminded me of a pop tart)!

Before I let you go, here are some other things I’m obsessed with this week:

  • Currently watching: With all of the rain last week, I found myself on the treadmill…a lot! I started the Netflix series Waco to pass the time and it’s surprisingly good. I was a college senior when this was happening in real life, so my memories of how it all went down are a little fuzzy. But three episodes into this six-episode series and I’m hooked. Just a heads up that it’s heavy, meant for a mature audience, and will leave you wondering if THIS is what really happened.
  • Currently reading: Have you finished my April book pick, And They Called It Camelot: A Novel of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis? It’s fiction, but so good–the absolute perfect escape! Next Friday, I’ll have a review of this fun book up on the blog.
  • Currently following: Last week, I tried three different simple recipes from a blog I love called Lemon Stripes. This Connecticut-based lifestyle blogger, mom of one, lover of all things blue and white–strikes a relatable balance of positivity and dealing with quarantine life. Worth a look!

Enjoy this sunny Saturday!
