A Healthy Reset for the New Year

If my crew stays healthy, we’re heading to the Fiesta Bowl tomorrow to see Notre Dame play Oklahoma State University. So far so good! Crossing all of my fingers and toes that we get there to cheer on my cute boy Eddie.

As I’m packing my bags today, I can’t help but think about re-entry next week and the need for me to clean up my act. Pretty much since Thanksgiving, I’ve taken every opportunity to not make healthy choices (ugh!!). But you all know how much I love a clean slate, so I’m going to kick off January on the right foot with a wellness reboot with my friend Mollie Lawniczak who launched her health coaching business last year–Welcome Wellness.

Mollie Lawncizak

It was in 2015 when Mollie decided to take her personal wellness seriously. A busy mom of two, she joined a local health group to help her achieve her goals…and she did! (She’s too modest to say this, but she knocked them out of the park losing more than 40 pounds!) Her health group was so impressed with her results that they asked if she would join their team and help others find the same success.

“I surprised myself at how much I enjoyed coaching others on the same journey I had been on,” Mollie says.

Mollie was particularly interested in learning more about the direct relationship between food and what it does for the body. So after a great deal of research, she decided to pursue a health coach certification from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, founded by world-renowned physician and author, Dr. William Sears. (Many of us remember Dr. Sears from all the books he wrote about taking care of babies.) The Institute is a leader in science-based health and wellness education that focuses on the four pillars of health: lifestyle, exercise, attitude, and nutrition. Additionally, Mollie completed a Nutrition Sciences course from the Stanford Center for Health.

“When I finished all the coursework, I was really encouraged to keep the momentum going and do something with what I had learned,” Mollie says.

Mollie’s focus with her business Welcome Wellness is helping others create healthier habits that will ultimately drive a more sustainable healthy lifestyle for the long term. “Goal setting is the best way to get where you’re going,” she says. “I help people set a specific goal with very actionable steps.”

To this end, Mollie is offering a 4-Week New Year Healthy Reset starting January 11. As part of this, Mollie will offer four weekly 30-minute Zoom sessions to learn and discuss healthy routines to get you RESET:

  • Week 1: Starting a new routine and planning for success
  • Week 2: Moving your body and finding what YOU love
  • Week 3: How to eat better and smarter
  • Week 4: Fueling your body and goal setting

These four weeks will also include once weekly accountability check-ins with Mollie and access to a private Facebook group, plus recipes and other handouts. Mollie is a big believer in the buddy-system and the power of a group. She will be leveraging these on Zoom sessions and thru Facebook. I also love that Mollie works within the reality of our current lives–knowing that we’re busy and often cooking meals for our families while trying to be healthier. Mollie is also independent and isn’t obligated to sell any products as part of her program.

The cost to join this 4-week series is $95. Click here to register. I’m already all signed up! Who is with me?
