Happy Friday, friends! I can hardly believe the kids are going back to school next week. That’s definitely the sign of a summer well lived when you wake up one morning and it’s time to buy school supplies!
Even though I’ve been busy soaking up the last schedule-free moments with my kids, I did have time to gather a few favorites for this Friday. Let’s go!
Tala Coffee Roasters Turns 4: My girls and I paid a visit to Tala Coffee in Highwood today as they celebrate their 4th birthday. As part of the fun, they are serving up a birthday cake latte this weekend that I happen to have on pretty good authority is delicious! If you can treat yourself to one, do! (Can you spot my cute photographer Grace in the Tala door reflection?)
Back-to-School Shopping:In case you missed it, my daughter Annie has perfected the back-to-school shopping list for high schoolers. She took my son Jimmy and got everything he needs for his freshmen year, including a couple of things I never would have thought of. I recapped it all in this post earlier this week.
A Cute Blouse to Transition from Summer to Fall: The little red number I’m wearing in the picture above from Evereve is a new favorite. I think it’s the perfect piece to help make the switch from our super hot days to our slightly cooler ones.
White Tennis Shoes Forever:Right before we left for vacation, I bought a new pair of Vejas and I just love them. They need a little breaking in when you first buy them, but it’s so fun to pair them with a flowy dress, some wide-legged linen pants, or even some jeans.
Mean Baby: I finally finished this memoir by Selma Blair and loved it. She’s an unbelievable writer and it’s a beautiful story of adversity and redemption. Two thumbs up.
Have a super weekend!
