How in the world are we two weeks away from Thanksgiving? To help you get your ducks in a row, I wanted to let you know about a new business started by two North Shore women that is the “Rent the Runway” for your tabletop.
Last year when the world was shut down, Lake Forest’s Dawn Burns and Winnetka’s Heather Mahon–knowing that we were all going to want to gather in style soon– launched Social Settings, a company that delivers fashionable table decor right to your doorstep. Whether it be a holiday party or an everyday dinner, Social Settings can help you take your table to the next level.
Social Settings offers a curated selection of customized looks from boutique designer brands for everything you’ll need to set your table:
-
tablecloths
-
napkins & napkin rings
-
placemats & chargers
-
votives & accessories
-
flatware
-
glassware
-
dishes
You can choose your favorite pieces and products and have them delivered right to your front door. You may keep the items for up to four days, and they suggest having them arrive at least one day before your party takes place. When you’re finished, you simply pack them back up and return…no cleaning required!
Dawn and Heather make it all so much fun with their incredible selection of products–they will be heading to “market” soon to add even more items to their mix. They are happy to give you styling tips and can now ship to wherever you are hosting in the country. Renting these tablescapes is much more economical than investing in these pieces every time you host an event, freeing you up to host on many more occasions. New items are being added regularly so you can change up your look every time you have a party.
The day Dawn came over to dress up my table–she brought everything, even the faux olive branches and pumpkins that we used as a centerpiece.
