We’re just a few days away from turning the page on January, so I thought I’d round up 10 little things—in no particular order—that brought me joy this month.
1. As I was writing this today, Jimmy walked in from school while FaceTiming with his brothers. The conversation was very PG-13, but there was so much laughing. Instant joy.
2. The treadmill is no longer my enemy. I’ve been religious about getting my steps in down in the basement—even pulling out the 3-12-30 workout. The “strolling-and-scrolling” method has been a game changer for actually finishing my workouts.
3. Trader Joe’s crunchy peanut butter is pure gold. Add an apple in the afternoon and honestly… perfection.
4. J.Crew seems to be tiptoeing back into its preppy greatness. How cute is this sweater? And this one? I’m paying attention again. And these super-stretchy J.Crew jeans have been giving me life. Enough said.
5. I can’t get enough of the highlights from Indiana’s win over Miami in the College Football Championship. I couldn’t love a team more (and they’re not even my team!).
6. After a solid month of OPI Chick Flick Cherry, my nails are back to classic OPI Coca-Cola Red and I couldn’t be happier about it.
7. Having coffee and walk dates with my girlfriends who I haven’t seen in months. The best!
8. The London Fog from Hansa Coffee in Lake Bluff is a 10/10. No notes.
9. Boden’s first colorful drop for spring has me wishing May would hurry up and get here.
10. This raspberry chia pudding has been on repeat for me all month for breakfast—and somehow, I’m not sick of it yet.
Okay, friends—your turn. What’s brought you joy this past month?
xo,
Ann Marie
P.S. If this note struck a cord with you, I’d love if you shared it with a friend.
