Maybe it’s the lingering heat or the fact that I’m trying to hang onto that little bit of summer color for as long as possible, but right now I want my makeup to do just enough. Even out my skin, give me a little glow, add some color, and still let me look like myself.
And the older I get, the pickier I’ve become about what earns a spot in my everyday routine.
Lately I’ve been trying a few new things from ILIA and Ogee, along with some old favorites I keep coming back to. So before we officially trade summer glow for fall everything, I thought I’d share what’s currently in my makeup bag—and what will definitely be staying there. Let’s do this! (Here’s a link to all the products listed below.)

- Before makeup: exfoliating pads, vitamin c, plumping serum, skin glow + moisturizer
- Foundation: Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 in the color Bom Bom
- Concealer: Sarah Creal Beauty Concealer in shade 4.5
- Blush: New and improved Ogee Sculpted Face Stick in the shade Carnelian
- Bronzer: New and improved Ogee Sculpted Face Stick in the shade Amber
- Eyeliner: Thrive Causemetics eyeliner in the color Ella
- Eyeshadow: Thrive Causemetics in the color Rose Quartz
- Mascara: Tower 28 Beauty Making Waves in the shade Jet
- Eyebrows: Thrive Causemetics Instant Brow Fix in the shade Audrey
- Lipstick: Thrive Causemetics Precision Lipstick Crayon in the color Kaisa
- Gloss: Buxom Plumping Gloss in the shade April
- Setting powder: Laura Mercier loose powder in Translucent
- Setting spray: Saie Setting Spray
And a few of you have asked me what I use to wash my makeup off—this will make my mom proud because both products are inexpensive and can be bought at any big box store: Aveeno facial wipes + Micellar Water. When I shower, I use this cleanser. That’s it!
I hope this was a nice little break in your day!
