Happy Friday! I hope you had a fall day as beautiful as ours in Lake Forest. Several times today, I caught myself thinking, I live in the cutest place. Both Lake Forest High School and Lake Forest College have homecoming this weekend, so their flags are flying all over town. Those flags get me every time!
It’s been a minute since I’ve shared a Friday Favorites, and I’ve missed putting these little lists together. This one has a little fall style, a few beauty finds, and a book I’m still thinking about. I hope you find something you love, too.
Preppy glasses frames: A little collegiate charm for your everyday look.
Corduroy-trimmed coat: It’s the corduroy trim that makes this coat stand out.
Puff-sleeve blouse: When you want your jeans-and-a-blouse outfit to feel a little more special. (And you won’t believe the price!)
Brown suede shoulder bag: Rich brown suede feels so right this time of year. An easy way to bring a little fall into whatever you’re wearing (and this bag looks so much more expensive than it is).
Comfiest denim: I can’t stop talking about these!
Fall smells: Sweater weather deserves its own scent.
Fresh body wash: A small everyday pleasure.
Hydrating lotion: With cooler weather comes my annual reminder to give the rest of my skin as much attention as my face.
Fall cheek color: A little color on your cheeks can pull everything together—even when the rest of your makeup is minimal.
Hand serum: My hands deserve a spot in the skincare routine, too.
Minimalist mascara: For those days when a little definition is all you’re after.
The book I can’t stop thinking about: If you like the British royal family even a little bit, you will LOVE this book.
Suede flats: An easy finishing touch with denim, trousers, or a fall dress. I love a shoe that gives me options.
That’s my little roundup for this week. If you’ve found something especially good lately—a book, a beauty find, the jeans you keep reaching for—please let me know! You know I love a recommendation from a friend.
