I’ve tried lots of products over the years, but I think my newest morning lineup might be my best one yet. After I wash my face in the morning, here is what I do: Exfoliate with the Trish McEvoy Correct and Brighten Beta Hydroxy pads: My Trish McEvoy expert Katherine says to use these four times a week, but in the throws of winter, I use these almost every day. Add Vitamin C: I’m trying hard to be consistent with this one because I think Vitamin C is the key to brighter skin. I’ve been loving L’Oreal Paris Revitalift Vitamin C Serum. You can’t beat the price at under $30 (it has 12% Vitamin C!). Moisturize: I know I sound like a broken record but this innBeauty Extreme Cream is the best moisturizer I have ever used. Hello friends and happy 2025! While I have been of Hello friends and happy 2025! While I have been off chasing my favorite football team, the new year decided to start without me. So here we are, 13 days in, and I finally have a quiet house, a few days in a row at home, and a couple of minutes to put my wishes for the coming year in writing. For 2025, I have decided to make “focus” my word of the year. This probably doesn’t seem like a huge stretch coming from someone who loves to have a plan. But this year, I’m locking in and taking inspiration from my children. Here’s what I mean. Over the holiday break, I really had a chance to look at my kids and where they are in their lives. Every single one of them has done something that I admire so much by putting themselves in the path of the things they’re trying to make happen. For example, my daughter Grace decided after she graduated from college that she wanted to live in Europe. It took months and months of planning and scraping together her finances, but she did it. She first landed a teaching job in Spain, then applied to graduate school in London, and is now working for a UK-based consulting firm and dating a very lovely boy we affectionately call Prince William. Had Grace not gotten herself to Spain, who knows if these other pieces would have fallen into place the way we have. Grace put herself in the path of the life she wanted to build—almost so that life couldn’t miss her. Does this make sense? At the ripe old age of 54, I would like to finally put myself in the path of what my dreams are. I would love to build my blog up to a point where brands believe in the space I’ve created enough to want to pay to be a part of it. My dream is to only write about what I want to write about and share with you. To do that, I will have to say “no” to other things. That’s the locking in part. That’s the focus I’ve been missing that I’m determined to find in 2025. Gosh I love a January when you can boldly state goals and actually believe you can make them come true! If you scroll through my pictures above, you’ll see what my “ins” and “outs” are for this year and how I hope to take a few more steps towards my path. Who’s with me? ❤️
It’s not often that all 10 Hartmans find themsel It’s not often that all 10 Hartmans find themselves in the same place but today we did. Our sweet Mom had a milestone birthday and none of us wanted to miss it. When my mom got to the Deer Path Inn and saw the table set for 12 (plus one more for my darling niece who took all of the photos), she reminded us that once upon a time this was our typical dinner table. It’s so crazy to think of what my Mom’s life was like when she had all of us under one roof every day. There were many lessons taught around that dinner table, but the one that we all took away was the importance of family. I see that in the families my siblings have created and I felt that around the table this afternoon. I always think that the best gift my parents gave us was each other and I’m so glad that we were able to let my Mom know that today. Happy birthday to our hero! We love you, Mom! ❤️ (And thank you to my Dad for treating us all to lunch. Poor guy can never catch a break!)

Only six more sleeps until Christmas. How are we f Only six more sleeps until Christmas. How are we feeling? I actually think I have things pretty under control given the lack of a real plan that I have for this holiday. I think we’re actually back in that phase of life where our schedules are completely dependent on our kids again...like when they were little and everything was planned around their naps! Instead of naps, it’s boyfriends and football games and time off from work! But they’re all good things and Christmas will happen whether I have a plan or not. I’m here to embrace whatever that looks like. One thing I’ve totally dropped the ball on is what I’m going to wear! Thankfully, my friends at @jcrewfactory came in clutch. (They picked out everything I’m wearing in this reel! Everything is linked in my stories.) J.Crew Factory asked if I would come and help some of their shoppers at their Vernon Hills store this Friday (tomorrow!) from 11-1 with last-minute shopping for gifts and holiday looks.
