What I’m Making on the 4th of July

I am so looking forward to a quiet long weekend. This is the first time in years that my out-of-state siblings aren’t traveling into town, so I think it’s just going to be us–and maybe my parents–for the 4th of July. I’m looking forward to getting into the kitchen and making some really yummy festive food.

Here are some new recipes that I’ll be experimenting with this weekend.

Appetizer

Cool Cucumber Salsa

Whipped Feta with Roasted Balsamic Strawberries

Sides

Watermelon Summer Salad

Easy Pasta Salad

Dessert

Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp

Mocktail

Blueberry Basil Lemonade

(I recently had this at my friend Bridget’s and she substituted the sparkling water for still and it was delicious!)

Here are some recipes I’ve made in past summers that you might like, too.
