There is probably no subject other than lipstick that I consider myself an expert. I’ve been wearing lipstick since the 8th grade when I was rocking Revlon’s Copperglaze Wine when my mom allowed. In my opinion, there is no cosmetic that makes a bigger impact on my face than the right shade of lipstick. The bolder, the brighter, the better!
I have three Mac lipsticks that I have been grabbing for the most. Their staying power can’t be beat. Here are my three favorites this fall:
Get the Hint?: This is about as light and nude in color as I will go. This is great rosy pink for for daytime or if you’re playing with more dramatic eye makeup.
Lady Danger: This is such a fun coral red. It is a pop, but just the thing to wear if you need a little pick-me-up. This will be a terrific color going into the holidays and it looks great in pictures.
Russian Red: This is the prettiest brick red I can find. It grounds your look and ups the drama of anything you’re wearing. I wear this during the day, but it’s a fantastic color for date night.

I have been loving Amour Fou from Violette-FR. French, red, matte, doesn’t bleed into my 56 year old lines. Also love the Sucette, which leans more magenta, but not electric. Agree with you on lipstick-can’t believe people don’t wear it! Easiest way to wake up your face!
