This week, I feel like the holiday spirit is finally sinking in and I decided it was time to put some of my gift ideas down on paper. First up, a few ideas for the ladies in your life.
Pajamas: Pajamas are one of my favorite gifts to give and Printfresh has some of the best patterns. I think these tend to run a little on the large size (I wear a medium).
Heart earrings: Just a classic at a great price.
Mother of pearl heart ring: I was in Lillie Alexander in Lake Forest this week and saw this Jane Win ring in person and it’s so pretty. It’s well-priced, too. Someone needs to have this!
Heart necklace: This might be the piece I am most asked about. I love that this necklace can be worn long or short. It’s such a fun piece.
Beauty planner: Trish McEvoy is the GOAT of cosmetics and her holiday planners are a great entry way into her brand. Love this one with three of her eyeshadow sticks!
Cashmere wrap: I’m manifesting lots of travel for myself in 2025 and these cashmere scarves from J.Crew are so great to have in your carryon. So many ways to wear them–they make the perfect gift!
Charm necklace: I am obsessed with this new-to-me charm necklace brand, Coastal Caviar. You can choose a pendant plus 8 charms and build a custom necklace for under $300. So pretty and personal.
Loungewear: The Spanx Air Essentials are my favorite discovery of 2024. Anything from this line is fantastic, but I especially love these wide-leg pants.
Sherpa slippers: You may have heard of Bombas socks, but did you know they make slippers too? These slippers are so cozy and I love that Bombas has such a great give-back philosophy where they donate to those who need it most.
Notre Dame scarf: A friend of mine recently introduced me to this scarf line–The Clearly Collective– that was launched by an architectural alum from the University of Virginia. Her scarves highlight architectural elements of the schools and organizations she highlights. This Notre Dame scarf is so elegant and unique. She has many others–worth checking out her site!
Clean, non-toxic perfume: My friend Courtney Holsworth from A Life From Scratch recently launched this lovely, clean, non-toxic unisex perfume with her business partner Sincerely Sarah Jane called Golden Hour. It’s filled with all of these warm notes of vanilla and tobacco. I’m usually more of a clean-smelling fragrance sort of gal, but I love this one. They are releasing more stock of this perfume next Friday, November 29. Mark your calendars!
Varsity Pickle sweatshirt: A new company with North Shore roots–Varsity Pickle– is capitalizing on the pickleball craze. They recently gifted me this sweatshirt and I love it so much. It’s so well made and always a great conversation starter. Very fun for the pickleballer in your life.
Mini miracle balms: If you’ve ever wanted to give the gift of a Jones Road Miracle Balm to a friend, this is the way to do it. These mini balms come in a number of shades and you can buy in various-sized bundles that you curate.
Ina Garten’s memoir: Hands down, this was my favorite book of 2024. I love that she talks about how she didn’t feel like she made it until she was 50. It’s so great!
Love necklace: This is my favorite necklace of all time and I share it in every gift guide I post.
Wooden bracelets: These bracelets are unique, go with everything, and are at a great gifting price point.
Red crossbody: J.McLaughlin’s handbags are having a moment. This red one is spectacular!
Pickleball racquets: Another pickleball recommendation and this one comes from House of Shan. These are too cute to pass up! House of Shan also picks a charity each month to make a donation to. This is a terrific business to support.
Packing cubes: I swear by packing cubes and most people don’t know how these will change their lives. These blockprint ones from Mark & Graham are darling.
Suitcase: This is another regular on my gift guide list. My older children seem to always be in need of a carryon and I think these are special ones to have. They hold up really well.
Woven tote: Comes in so many beautiful colors. This is a great bag for travel.
Woven crossbody: This is my every day bag. I love the size, it’s versatility as a crossbody or handbag–it’s just great. And, you can throw it into the washing machine when it gets dirty.
Perfect white blouse: This may seem like an odd thing to put in a gift guide, but KMJ makes the most perfect blouses and this white one is incredible! I wear a medium for reference.
I hope this list is helpful! Let me know if you decide to gift anything from this guide.
